Primula’s Your Perfect Blend Gift Set reminds us of a chemistry set for grown-up gourmets, allowing users to play with their food and experiment, in this case, with different teas and herbs to create the perfect cup of tea. The kit comes with three bags of tea (black, green and white), three herbal additions (rose buds, chamomile and mint) and a glass tea pot complete with a filtering spout that works remarkably well, despite the large size of the filter’s holes. Primula’s set also includes four air-tight glass jars where you can store your blends and display them in your kitchen or office—the teas and herbs are too pretty to hide away in a drawer.

When it comes time to blend your tea, there are a myriad of combinations, and it’s almost impossible to make a bad brew. The white tea combined with rose and chamomile is lovely, as is the black tea with a hint of mint. We even tried all six of the options together, which resulted in an interesting cup where not one flavor stood out from the pack. We do recommend, however, to go easy on the mint, as too much will overwhelm the other components. The set makes a great gift for a friend who’s just starting out in the world of tea, or you could just buy one and play with it yourself. Your inner child deserves it.
