Golden Yunnan is a black tea that is unexpectedly complex and quickly addictive. With a rich, warm aroma and smoky flavor, this bold brew is slightly reminiscent of coffee and delivers a similar caffeine jolt. We also sampled the Ti Kuan Yin, an oolong tea that tasted fresh and clean.

Adagio offers variations on white, green and herbal teas. Each box contains fifteen pyramid-shaped bags and includes directions on steeping time and water temperature. Sippers should note that these tea bags are not meant for tiny cups—the already large bags double in size when steeped. Although Adagio’s prices vary, Golden Yunnan and Ti Kuan Yin cost $10 per box.
