A Great Green - Tea Review
E & A Tea Company's Genmai Cha Matcha Tea
Rating: 16/20

As a green tea, genmai cha hasn’t always had the best reputation. Once considered to be Japan’s "tea of the poor," its trademark roasted brown rice was added as a filler to the brew to make it more affordable to the country’s commoners, thus lowering its quality (or so they thought).
But these days, genmai cha has gained popularity in the ranks among Easterners and Westerners alike, which is why we were excited to try Europe & Asia Tea Company’s Genmai Cha Matcha Tea from their Japanese Collection. Its robust green brew features a nutty aroma and has a long-lasting smoothness with every sip. Never bitter, it makes a tasty cup (and a good strong one too, if you prefer), with the possibility of reusing the bag for a second brew. Each combination of tender young leaves and roasted brown rice is encased within a silk sachet, fancy enough to make you feel like royalty. More, please!
Price: $6 for package of 15 sachets.
